Shadow Box Framing a Signed Mike Tyson Belt: A Knockout Display from Our NYC Frame Shop

Some things are just too cool to keep in a box. This week, we got to do a shadow box framing project for a signed championship belt from Mike Tyson—and yeah, it was awesome.

This wasn’t just any belt. It came with classic photos of Iron Mike in action and needed to be displayed in a way that really honored the legend. Here’s how we pulled it off with a bit of style and a lot of care:

How We Did the Custom Shadow Box Framing:

  • Double-Frame Design for Depth: We built a layered setup using two custom frames, giving the belt a three-dimensional look that really grabs attention.
  • Bold Materials That Pop: The gold frame adds a punch, and the color-core mat makes everything inside feel sharp and balanced.
  • Museum-Quality Protection: We used Optium Museum Acrylic (seriously nice stuff) to keep everything protected from UV and glare. It’s the go-to for folks who want museum-quality framing that lasts.

This kind of custom picture framing is why we love what we do. It’s not just about putting something behind glass—it’s about telling a story, preserving a moment, and showing it off in the best way possible.

We’ve done everything from signed jerseys to autographed gloves and rare posters. Whether you’re in the market for shadow box framing in Manhattan or canvas stretching services in Fairfield NJ, we’ve got you covered.

If you’re near our NYC Midtown shop or the Hudson Yards location, come say hi! We also do great work at our Fairfield NJ frame shop for folks on the Jersey side.
